A Place to Pause, a Legacy of Giving: Frank and Angela DeLuca Plaza Dedicated at AdventHealth Ocala

A welcoming place to rest and reflect now carries the names of two people whose commitment to Ocala has touched generations.
AdventHealth Ocala celebrated the dedication of the Frank and Angela DeLuca Plaza with hospital leaders, community representatives, family and friends. Featuring a fountain, the plaza offers patients, visitors and team members a space to pause while honoring the couple’s generosity and longstanding support of the hospital and Marion County.
“The goal was to create an environment that reflects care, compassion and a sense of belonging,” said Erika Skula, president and CEO of AdventHealth Ocala. “This is what we want people to feel when they arrive on campus.”

For Frank and Angela, the dedication reflects a connection to the hospital that spans years. Angela previously cared for patients there, and Frank served on the hospital’s board. Together, their support also extends to the hospital’s mother-baby unit, helping carry their commitment to local families into the next generation.
“To us, that’s what legacy means. Making a difference,” Frank DeLuca said.
That commitment has taken on even more personal meaning for the family. During the ceremony, Angela shared that her first grandchild was recently born at the hospital—a new chapter in a relationship rooted in care and community.

“Frank and I are just very proud to be in a community where everyone has an opportunity for the amazing health care that’s offered here by all of you,” Angela DeLuca said.
The plaza brings that spirit of care into the hospital’s surroundings. For someone visiting a loved one, arriving for treatment or taking a break during a workday, it offers a welcoming place to rest and reflect.

Through the DeLuca Family Foundation, Frank and Angela continue to build on decades of philanthropy, supporting local organizations and community initiatives that improve lives. The dedication of the plaza honors that ongoing commitment and the belief that giving back can make a lasting difference close to home.
