Frank & Angela DeLuca Donate $10,000 to the Marion County Literacy Council

Updated: Jun 8

Ocala, FL – March 8, 2025

On Friday, March 7, 2025, local philanthropists Frank and Angela DeLuca made a generous $10,000 donation to the Marion County Literacy Council. Their contribution underscores their ongoing commitment to education and community development in Marion County.

Reflecting on the gift, Frank DeLuca shared his philosophy: "Giving back… not only does it feel good, but it’s the right thing to do." The donation was inspired by the many heartfelt stories shared during the evening’s retirement celebration honoring Frank J. DeLuca’s 46-year automotive career.

Moved by the Marion County Literacy Council’s dedication to helping individuals learn to read, write, and express their own stories, the DeLucas felt compelled to make this surprise contribution. They hope this gift will support the organization’s mission for years to come.

RJ Jenkins of the Marion County Literacy Council, Inc. was present to receive the donation and commented, ”This gift will allow us to help some of Marion County's most vulnerable and most aspirational members build better, happier lives for themselves and their families. We are extraordinarily grateful for this generosity, and we will do everything we can to transform it into life-changing services for the people in our community.”
